The Scrap Itch is a rare disease that you acquire when you haven't held or manipulated patterned paper, glue or anything shiny in your hands far too long! I've been on a paper crafting hiatus for over four years while I completed my master's degree in counseling. This is my first attempt at a scrapbook page in four years! My scrap room is discombobulated, but I have the Scrap Itch! I have decided the only cure for this disease is to dive in and play. I'm looking forward to a full year of a scrap-happy life. Every counselor needs self-care, right?
For this layout, I used the January "Jumpstart" Sketch Challenge from The ScrapRoom Blog. All of the papers are from Fancy Pants which were included in the January's Flavors of the Month club kit and patterned paper add-on kit. I fussy cut the balloons, and highlighted them with a silver paint pen and silver sheer shimmer mist, popping them off the page just a bit. I accented the sprinkles on the cupcake with stickles. Some of the embellishments came from previous month's kits, and some from the little bit of stash I could find. I had fun creating the page to celebrate my granddaughter's first birthday!
Adorable page and wonderful job with the sketch! So glad you are finding time to scrap again! Thanks for playing along with The ScrapRoom!
